What makes a successful relationship?

The key for me is soul alignment. Relationships play a major role in our personal growth. There’s a reason we connect in this human experience. Through relationships we learn more about who we are and who we aren’t.

Relationships expand our consciousness when we understand why we have chosen to experience them, and acknowledge and clear any negative karmic patterns affecting them.

A successful relationship could last a day, a year or a lifetime. However we are conditioned by society that successful relationships are those that continue and take work as well as compromise and sacrifice. From an ego or emotional perspective sometimes we get attached to making relationships continue even when they no longer serve us. I have definitely done this.

Many who come into close relationship with each other have past life history but not always nor is a long soul level history necessarily an indicator of how valuable a relationship is. Souls who share lifetimes may feel familiarity and comfort but also resonate with each other’s negative karmic patterns. Two souls entrenched in negative karmic patterns over lifetimes will almost certainly trigger each other. Obviously we can step out of negative patterns at any time and make new choices. However if we have a history with another soul and are a vibrational match for each other‘s negative patterns this can make life very difficult. Ideally relationships should help us resolve negative karmic patterns and step into our self expression. From experience souls with past history don’t always remain in the same relationship with each other either - they may incarnate as lovers, friends, parents or children etc.

As consciousness evolves many souls are resolving negative karmic patterns and stepping into new more congruent relationships. When there is a little or no past life history these can be opportunities for new levels of self expression. So be intentional in your relationships. And discerning whether compatibilities align with your soul and growth or difficulties don’t. If the latter consider cutting ties or changing your karma. And if you need help just reach out 💖💫
